Have a new Springfield M1A Scout in 10 day jail. Tell me about your scope set up.

I've got a Leupold VX2 1.5-4X Scout on mine. Works well. With some of my handloads, like 46.3 grs. of TAC over a 130 gr. TTSX, PPU brass and CCI 34's I get four round groups under 1.5 MOA consistently. E

Did you get the walnut or the synthetic? They are awesome rifles. Heavier than dirt though!

Synthetic , and excited to wring it out. Eyes not what they once were so we'll try a scout scope and see how it works out. Thanks.

I have a leatherwood 2x7 scout on mine with a ballistic reticle, not much money and surprisingly nice. I like having 7x for range work.

Mine has the synthetic stock. With the Leupold VX2 mounted, it weighs 8 3/4's lbs. BTW, I've dialed the adjustments of my VX2 quite a bit. Not to the extremes of their range, but back and forth for different loads or ranges out to 300 yds. They have always done what they should have. E

I used a Burris 2-7 handgun scope on one years back but prefer a standard scope above the action.
