Richard Mann and a few others colaborated on a necked down 6.5 Creedmoor and called it the 2Fity-Hillbilly. Seems to replicate the 257 Roberts in a true short action round. Anyone used it and have performance results? There’s not much about it online

Doves Custom Guns. A 117 SST @ 3000.
Blackjack bullets makes a 131 gr. .25 cal with a .330 G7, That could have the Hillbilly competing handily with a 6 or 6.5.
Some folks seem to get their feathers ruffled over talk of another cartridge, & I can see their point I guess. We stopped needing new ones probably 50 years ago, but that won't stop it. I say; have at it, come up with the flattest shooting, mildest recoiling, game killingist, cheapest to load, smallest platform fittingist cartridge on the planet. I would probably want one.

Look up "Operation Quarter Lord" on line. Also a long thread, 257 cal bullets, on Ask the gun writers, here.

A bit less shoulder angle, a bit more case length.

Fixt... .30-06 and 375H&H still kill just as good today as when they were first introduced... If you only want to dial the clock back 90 years to include the .270 and .300H&H, I'm good with that...

I'm guessing there was more brain power expended in the name than the "collaboration" in necking down 6.5 Creed brass to 25 cal.

The world can always use one more Creedmoor.

What twist do these new super sleek bullets want / require ?
.25 CM lots of great brass available to neck down
.25 Short PRC - maybe not so much, but still interesting, unless you have a .25’06 But again the minimum required twist rules
We shall see
History May Not Repeat, But it Rhymes.

1-8 if your going to shoot them over 3200 FPS.
