Every once in a while for a kid's party or graduation we'll order a keg of A&W from the liquor store and load up the freezer with plastic cups preloaded with a couple scoops of ice cream for root beer floats. It goes over yugely.

I almost never drink soda pop, but I do like Sprecher's root beer.
It's made in Glendale, WI (Milwaukee County).

True true..

I drink maybe one every six months or so, and half-way through ask myself why. How folks go through six or more a day is a mystery to me. I do use some good tonic water from time to time with a little gin. At least it's clear, and "disinfected" by the gin; or so I choose to believe.

Dad's and Triple AAA - Grew up with both. AAA was originally brewed and bottled in Oklahoma City, and has returned with the original recipe.

This is how I remember the AAA store downtown in the 1950s.

This is how it was served down at the local drug store soda fountain bar.

Barq's isn't too bad.

My favorite is a trip over to the old Root Beer Stand on the Cincinnati-Dayton Road and buying a gallon on a hot summer evening.

Kutztown blows away all the well known brands hands down. All the Kutztown sodas are very good but they really nailed the orange cream flavor. Tastes just exactly like a melted orange creamsicle with fizz.
