just took a phone call from someone from the National Association of Police and Troopers...a fund raising call. Anyone else get LE fund raising calls? Don't know who they are but I'm betting the majority of the money raised does NOT go to LE uses...

Had one call me a while back (firefighters assoc). Said they were collecting money for burned-out victims.
Told him I was pretty burned out myself, where do I get my free stuff?
He hung up.
Local news reported the calls as a scamming/phishing scheme.
I wanted to tell him I pooped a "J"
But I saved that for yall. Lol

Back when I had a house phone all of those fuggers got the same response from me.

"Click" is your friend for scammer control. The full-timers and some part-timers get pensions and have the ability to invest on their own. Even though they face a "windfall elimination profit" deduction if they are SS eligible, they should be planning for their own futures.

Get them from time to time, as soon as I tell them I give locally to the Police funds they hang up without even saying goodbye.

Get an annual letter from our local sheriff. I contribute yearly.
No phone calls yet.

if their departments don't sell confiscated weapons, and destroys them instead,; they can go pound sand.
It would surely be worth asking before donating.

I donate to the Highway Patrol every year. I get a sticker of a badge and year of donation. I put it in my back window. Don't know if it helps, but a few times I have been going a little over the limit and they have followed me for a bit then turned off. I have had Police and Sheriffs assoc call and I know quite a few of them. I ask about some I know and they skip over what I am saying. i I tell them I give locally and hang up.

Get them here a couple times per year. The ones we receive have been reported locally as a scam. "Click"...

I had to leave my job due to an arrest, I got head butted in the chest and had a heartattack. they call and want money for officers injured in the line of duty and when I ask how to get some help they hang up on me. There is no legit co that gives back to LEO or Firefighters if the scaming coc- suckers call ya on the phone. Not far from me there has been 2 Mobile Al police officers killed in the past year and the fund raisers by people in the city have been great. Phone scams suck...

I get those calls all the time, and they're always paid fundraisers doing the calling.

I play in the sheriff's golf scramble every year and make a donation . Every time the fire dept has a fish fry , sells smoked shoulders or anything else I buy
Last year a couple of guys came by said they're from the county rescue squad and wanted a donation . I gave them 20 bucks, what the hell I may need to be rescued .
Under no circumstances will give to any phone solicitor .

Of course that really pissed of the Police and Sheriffs, so they actually caught the bastards.
