Just weeks after Barr is sworn in Whitaker quits.

It was reported that Whitaker was going to stay on at the DOJ after Barr was confirmed and be President Trump's eye-n-ears at the Justice department.

Apparently Deep State Barr will have none of that.

Surprise!

I wonder if Whitaker leaving has anything to do with his testimony to the House Judicial Committee, he is going back to "clarify" his testimony.

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/...itaker-will-return-to-capitol-to-clarify

Quote
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said Tuesday that former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker will return to Capitol Hill to clarify previous testimony.

"I want to thank Mr. Whitaker for volunteering to meet with us to clarify his ⁦@HouseJudiciary⁩ testimony, and I look forward to working with Ranking Member ⁦@RepDougCollins⁩ to schedule that meeting in the coming days," Nadler tweeted.

The Justice Department said that Whitaker will meet with the committee privately, according to The Associated Press.

Whitaker publicly testified before the Judiciary Committee on Feb. 8 in what was at times a heated hearing. Nadler invited Whitaker to speak with the committee again just days later, saying in a letter that the official's answers were "unsatisfactory, incomplete or contradicted by other evidence."

"You repeatedly refused to offer clear responses regarding your communications with the White House, and you were inconsistent in your application of the Department’s policy related to the discussion of ongoing investigations," Nadler added.

Whitaker, who is now a senior counselor in the office of associate attorney general, has gained scrutiny regarding his interactions with President Trump.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that the Judiciary Committee believes it has evidence Trump asked Whitaker to put his ally, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, in charge of an investigation into Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

No.

The retards in the house are tryin ta get Whittaker to say something different than the White House said about some obscure item of non-interest.

So that they can accuse President Trump or someone in the White House of perjury.

Whitaker wouldn't answer their bullshit questions the first time, so they're gonna try and fck with him again, about nothing.

So, the House "perjury inquest" into Whittaker's testimony had nothing to do with him leaving the DOJ, got it. I do think he was forced out, the reporting I saw said that he had planned on staying at the DOJ, what happened? Who forced him out and why?

I think he is coming back to Iowa to get ready to run for Chuck Grassley's office when Chuck is ready to retire. He's got my vote.

I've seen it before in public service when the temp office holder gets passed over for the permanent position. They may say they want to stay, but shortly after the switch over the passed over person finds another job, leaves because they are upset, or the new boss and them just don't see eye to eye. Not uncommon.

Or they join the private sector for four times the money and zero BS. And live happily ever after.

How would quitting and no longer working in the DOJ affect him appearing before Congress, again?
