We have His and Hers table saws.
I dont want the wife using my belt driven old 10" craftsman. Its a little spooky lol. We use that one for 3/4" plywood rips mostly. Its notorious for firing a chunk of wood into your ballsack on a kickback. Might be my fault too on technique.
She has a 10" direct drive craftsman in the barn loft. I told just dont be trying to full-rip any sheets of plywood with me or my sons helping her. She sees something on pinterest or home&garden and gets to work on it. She's built several cabinets, bay window shelving systems, and other projects. This direct drive; it has a tendency to choke, pinch and bind up sometimes.

Never blame your technique, be a pro and always blame the tool! I grew up with and use an old craftsman saw. The proper technique when using it is to revile and curse the fence "system" that came with them. Its almost impossible to get the fence set true to the blade after you tighten it down and this can get things in a bind. If I used mine much I'd put an aftermarket fence on it. I don't and for the price of them you can buy 10 lifetimes worth of wood puddy!

I'm strictly an amateur, so I'll never get one of these, but they sure look impressive.
For my purposes, I have gone with a Shopsmith. In recent years I had to replace mine with another but the latest has a ton of attachments. I realize that setup is less practical for a pro, but I don't mind that.

I bought this 15 years ago I don't use it much anymore but it sure is nice to be able to cut a 4x8 sheet all by myself.

I have the DeWalt contractor saw. When I got it, it was the only American made cast iron contractor saw. Owned Craftsman, Jet, Delta's and Powermatic artisan before the Dewalt. Also owned Makita, Skil and Dewalt jobsite models. All sold during the divorce except the Dewalt. Nice compromise between a contractor and shop model.....

I have a vintage Craftsman 12” table saw, 220 volt. Back when they were USA made. Cuts like a champ.

I've got the Dewalt 60v portable and it's a pretty nice machine. I wish it had the option to be plugged in though, the miter saw does.

Well dang, I just put in a new 220 circuit for a table saw I picked up cheap. I can't wait to get that thing in my shop.

Wish I had the room to set mine up like that. I have my Grandpa's old (1950's model) Craftsman, belt drive. Does the job for me in most cases. Still difficult to do much big stuff by myself, though.

10" Delta purchased from the traveling HF tool sales about 20 years ago, $89 out the door. Not a contractor nor pro at anything but it has done it's $89 worth and then some.

Something to know if you don't. The blade does the cutting. I like the Freud blades, the Diablo is mostly what I buy. If you are doing serious ripping a rip blade works so well.
