Good Lord what does it take for a man to let go of one of his precious Sakos? I spent my morning trying to work a deal but no because I let it slip I use a suppressor. They're a tool and why would anyone else care if I wanted cut an inch off my hammer handle. I had cash in hand and even offered more than current value but still no deal. And whatever you do don't tell him a new Savage will out shoot his 50 year old Sako.

Nothing wrong with having a bunch of Sakos. He has a few in the classifieds from time to time.

You need to spread the wealth or should I say spread the sakos among the campfire boys.

He's just making sure his kids are going to a good home. Abusive homes will not be tolerated. See this with adoptions and pets all the time. Good due diligence. smile

I am at a loss as to why you even want it?

Willing to pay more for something you believe doesn't shoot as well as other options. And the first thing you have to do is modify it.

Hmmmmm.

I wouldn’t buy from him anyhow.
His prices are always too high plus he advertises like $1 from a complete $100 or $1k....like that’s a bargain.
Lol.

Just how many constitute "hoarding" these days?
I keep the number of Sako's on hand to a dozen or a Baker's Dozen; there's always room in the safes for one more (specifically a Mauser actioned 300 H&H).
Shrapnel has some very nice Sako eye candy.
I don't let mine go very often (twice in 30 years).
LOL

Lol.

Is he a dealer or something? I notice his stuff doesn’t ever sell that quick but guess I didn’t equate that to being in the firearms business or dealer, etc.

Socialism infects gun owners on the Campfire! No one should have a wealth of collectible guns. That wealth must be shared with all.
Too many AOC threads have infected our thinking.
By the way, I have one Sako, a Vixen in 222 Rem, that is enough for me and I'm not sharing.

WTH? A mans property is his own concern. Don't believe others opinion(s) counts for any more than warm spit.
54Woody nailed it.
I'm in Shrapnel's corner on this. Delighted there remain some who appreciate blued steel, walnut, and craftsmanship.
Kudos for a higher standard.

So apparently you don't have any rifles that you wouldn't sell??? If you would sell any of your rifles, maybe he doesn't think you have the character to own a rifle he is emotionally attached to. I wouldn't sell you most of my rifles either. So what.

I know dog breeders who won't sell pups to just anyone either. Their dog, their rules.
