So I bought a new model 70 7mm-08 featherweight. Great price, could not resist it.

Anyway, what would you scope it with? Variables only, please. Uses will be mostly antelope, pigs, deer.

I have a NF 2.5-10x32 on my 7-08 Tikka T3x and i think its the perfect balance between weight, size, and capability.

What's important to you? Magnification, lowlight capability, turret reliability, price range???

Putting a Kahles CL 2-7 on mine. The Z3 3-9 didn’t have enough low end for me.

I don't have any 1,000 dollar scopes but I have several nice ones and the Zeiss conquest 3-9 would fit the bill. It's one of my favorites, nice eye relief, excellent glass, perfect #20 reticle.

I’d put a Leupod Vx3i on it, a 2.5-8 or 3.5-10.

Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 in the reticle of your choice. Being able to control the brightness of the dot at dusk against black hogs really helped me. It's the only lightweight scope my 300WM hasn't broken. Just my opinion. Hope this helps.

Please let us know what you pick. Include pics. Especially during the hunt. Good luck.

This. Unless you can find a NIB VX3 in the classifieds.

Lots of good choices out there and recommendations made thus far. For a "set it and forget it" scope, I like the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 with the ballistic plex reticle. A little range time will help you learn where your holdover points are at various magnification levels. The scopes come with holdover information for lots of different calibers and it won't take too long to get it keyed to your personal loads.

It would be my pleasure to discuss options with you. I think I would go with a Swarovski 3-9x36 or 3-10x42

vx3i 3.5-10 on my model 7 708, love it. If I swap it out with anything else, it will be a vx-r 3-9

I've got a VX3 with B&C reticle on mine and it works very well. I don't dial it much at all.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.
