Have a question regarding a 3030 tD. Can I put a 300 Sav front end on it? Will the rotor work or is that something that would have to be changed to, rimmed verse rimless cartridge? Regards

Best way to answer the question is to run the 300 cartridge thru yor 30/30 and find out if it cycles. That's how we all learn. If you don't have any 300 cartridges get back to us and I'll run out and check for you.
I suspect no, but I haven't tried it. I do know the rotors are different.

Different rotor, different bolt face, possibly different reciever, depending on age of 30/30 different metallurgy.
If you want a 300, buy a 300.

Different rotor,different cartridge guide,receiver and bolt face the same. basically it wont work.

300's second round hung up in my 30-30 rotor and i was scared i'd have to do gall bladder surgery to get it out. bolt face/extractor wouldn't pick up the 300.
didn't even try 30-30 in my 300.
now we know.
