As someone who joined Trump's campaign and worked around the clock to get him elected, I'm furious. Even though I knew Trump's history I still remained cautiously optimistic. My hope was that at 70 years old he had grown bored of the money, reality TV, and porn stars, and the only thing left for him to achieve would have been immortality; canonized in every history book for posterity. We rolled the dice but came up snake eyes.

as short sighted a piece as Ive ever read. okay,...what part of it seems shortsided? It pretty much jibes with what I'm hearing. The part which tells about how slight the vote margin was in the rust belt states and Michigan are not just opinion. Neither is the numbers that showed up during the mid terms.

Although I'll admit, I was fairly enthusiastic for Trump's candidacy. Many people think he's got quite a bit to get done between now and the election if he's going to energize the base enough to win again. Some people discuss current events. Some people don't want to hear anything but cheerleading. I'm disappointed in Trump mainly because he's not doing the things he needs to do to get a second term. I'm also disappointed in him because it seems as if even he does get a second term, he's not going to do the things which got him his first term.

Hey ghost, I hadn't seen your post before my post above. So, I can add one more qualification to my list. Amy is well respected and loved by the people in her home state. Trump is reviled in New York, by the people who know him best. That speaks volumes both ways.
