i haven't gotten a refund in years so the days of splurging after tax season are done. i remember one year many years ago when i had a kid and bought my first house in the same year and was still claiming single 0. my return was like 9 grand. paid off my truck and changed my withholdings and my quality of life went way up.

Yeah we had a big year in 17 and 18, saved about $3,800. I'm good with that.. But you look at all taxes you pay directly and indirectly and I sure hope we don't get any Democrats in the future. I love the question politicians ask: How are these tax cut going to be paid for? Idiots never heard of cutting spending.

We had to pay 160.00. That’s the first time we have ever had to pay, but I made a lot of OT.

Glad to hear you got a break this year. The new tax structure also takes less out of the federal taxes on my pension income. THAT is what stimulates an economy; just like what they told me years ago in economics 101 when I was getting my associates degree in business administration. I've noticed how true that is over the years. Like during the Reagan administration vs. the Obama administration and now during the Trump administration. Give the peasants a little more of their own money and the economy will improve. Take massive amounts to construct a socialist utopia and the economy will be in the toilet. How come so many democrats think otherwise?

Just move to a democratically controlled state and see what kind of taxes and fees they can come up with. Want to tax you for every mile you drive. Tax you for your well water. Tell you you can't collect rainwater, that it belongs to the state. On and on, liberals are the cancer that's killing this country.

My wife and I made substantially more in 2018 than 2017, yet still paid a bit less in taxes. Works fer me!

I think I should start mowing grass for cash like all the Dreamers n Beaners do around here. They don't pay a lick of income tax AND get all types of bennies for their sows to pump out litters.

Yep. A refund check seems nice but that's your money in the first place. I usually end up owing the blood sucking bastards a few hundred dollars which works out well. Well, except that 90% of everything they extort from me is completely pissed away with nothing to show for it...
