For the Army anything above 90 percentile or so pretty much gives you your choice of MOS. http://official-asvab.com/understand_coun.htm

Afqt score which is the hard score. The test has changed over the years. Anyhow anything over 70 is good 99 is the max you can score on it. If you score a 90 or higher the person line scores will be well over 130. I seen some bricks come through my office when it comes time to re-enlist. Line scores in the 70’s that’s bad, when they have those scores they got a waiver for Afqt score.. the lowest line scores I ever seen were all 50’s they guy was a infantrymen and his afqt was a 10 lol..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I know I took some test when I joined up, but I don't recall much about it.. All I know is when the results came in, I could strike for anything and get it....and I did..

I scored a 99. I had a bachelor's degree with honors with multiple military science classes. The Army ROTC battalion commander was going to write me a letter of recommendation for OCS, plus I could max out all of the PT scores. But....I had herniated a disk in my back when I was 18 and had to have it surgically repaired. The recruiter did everything he could but they wouldn't even send me for a physical. It bothers me to this day. I really wanted to serve my country in the military. Dad volunteered for military service in WW II in 1943 when he turned 18. He was deemed physically ineligible also. Like father like son.

I don’t remember the ASVAB too much. I remember my GT score was, I want to say, 136. I honestly can’t remember if the GT was based on the line scores from the ASVAB or it it was some other test I took.

I took that test when I was 20 years old and scored 99 percentile. The Navy told me I could choose any rate I desired. I chose Aviation Anti-sbumarine Warfare Technician because I always loved airplanes and wanted to learn electronics. Had I been really smart I would have chosen one of the nuke rates, or Intelligence Specialist. Doh!

By my count they are on their 6th iteration of the asvab test.. I hardscored a 56 on my test in 98 and my GT score is 111. I know over the years with a 56 on today’s test my GT score would be lower.

And for most part after you took the asvab and you had recruiters calling, isn’t because you scored high on it. All that means you passed it and you are at that point qualified until they get you too meps for your physical. The biggest issue with recruiting is not finding people to join, its finding qualified applicants.. the biggest roadblock or disqualifyer s the asvab. Now a recruiter will be able to give a more accurate summary. But the rule of thumb if you fail the asvab the chances of you passing it on the second try are slim to none.. most recruiters will give up on you once you fail it the first time..

Mine was either a 93 or 96 with a GT of 135. I remember my GT score because it is on my 2-1. Drove the Army recruiter crazy when I said I wanted to be a Ranger.

I don't even remember my score. That was back around 89-90 when VERY few kids planned on going into the service, mostly because it didn't pay squat and generally, farm kids really don't like the thought of lining up so you can be told what to do. They had already spent the bulk of their life doing that.
I do remember, according to Sgt. Ron Brown, I had done very well. He was the army recruiter that called me once a month for like a year. I had other plans at the time.
Sort of wish (nigh on 30 years later) I had explored my options.........
