Any recommendations for a new meat grinder. Looking at some of the commercial options from Cabelas’s etc... I usually process 2-3 whitetails per season. Curious if 1/2 hp would be enough or to get 3/4 hp. Any specific models you’ve had success with? Thanks.

Mine is 3/4hp Cabella's. I cut pork butt into 1" steaks, it grinds one as fast as I drop it in, And get the nexdt one in the throat. Working at a decent pace. Now if I try, I can go faster, but I'm not waiting just keeping things going.

I have a LEM 22 big bite 1 hp. I saved up and waited for a sale. Glad I did. I cheaped out and bought a smaller 5lb stuffer , big mistake should have bought a 25 lB at least.

I love the Cabela's 3/4 HP. Lem makes a great machine too. The Cabela's is huge and I think I can throw meat from the garage to the kitchen it will eat all. I have never had to use the meat pusher no matter how large the pieces are. It comes with stuffing tubes so you don't need anything else.
