That is a nice rifle. Great blue job, who did it? Thanks. An older gentlemen near me did it. He has done a couple for me so far. He is in his 70’s now but years ago he and his buddies had a business. Joe

Nice restoration. Tell us how you did the wood. There used to be threads on this forum about the restoration work of members. Lately that subject has focused mostly on woodwork, but it would be interesting to see and hear the tale being told of the whole nine yards.

Yep, I cast my vote for doing the lever too. To me, your G is the perfect platform for the Lyman and Marbles tang sights. And you got the cool one that moves for windage.

Turnbull is the top end but I always thought his work never looked like original Savage.
