Hopefully our 1st amendment would prevent an American non-muslim woman from being required to wear that. I suppose there exists a sense of isolation in far-off New Zealand, where relatively little immigration has occurred. Perhaps the average person on the street has little sense of the inundation of the collective West by non-acculturated immigrants.
