Allegedly all Burris scopes will take airgun recoil. And if it doesn’t, they’ll replace it if it breaks.

Still, I don't want to spend that kind of money (at least not today) on a very basic plinker.
However, I could see myself picking up a strong modern .22 gas piston rifle (typically no sights or junk sights) and setting it up with good glass in a scout mount.
On my centerfire scout i use the glass as a magnified iron sight, and my guess is that's all it was ever meant to be. That should work very well on any airgun, with the double advantage of keeping the sight to bore axis relationship perfect on break barrels.
