Good deal if the miles are right. You can get em round here for 12-1500 at dealers auction, but theyre over 100K. UNder 100 and you know the previous owner, you did good.

Toyotas have a six digit odometer, it ain't rolled over. Wow $1K for that? Why not just insult the guy and piss on his leg while you're at it. Great deal!

You lucked our Roger!

Wouldn't cost anywhere near $2k to fix that paint.

You could get the whole thing stripped, painted and still have $6k vehicle when you're done. smile

Misstated
He got a good deal. The paint isnt NEEDED.
what I meant was I see $1k vehicles that need engines, trannies, most of the body rotted off.
Not a solid functioning vehicle with 60k miles.

Especially not a big 4wd SUV.

You must have some dirt on the guy or you caught him on the way to the home being committed for senility.

know the guy, he owns all the coin laundry's here in town pretty well off, he hardly used it and when he found out my wife was looking for a car, he offered it, wanted to get out of the driveway, just taking up space.

$1,000 is a good buy for a running driving 4x4 Toyota. Stop fixating on men and their urine.

I need some coffee... when I first read this post.... I was thinking WOW... 208K on original tires....that'd be worn down to the rims about now....

VERY nice snag Roger... the original owner must have just been tired of the vehicle to give it away like that..

heck a drive from here to Texas and back, for that price, one would still be money ahead, BIG time..

Finding a good one is on my wish list in life...around here, either neglected, abused and put away wet...
or they have 400K plus on them..

I saw a 2-wheel drive model with 180K for $4,200 and was pissed that I snoozed in it.

Still looking!

And here is what really counts. you could spend 10k to fix it all up almost brand new, lift it a little get it uber off road and towning ready and still be $30k+ ahead for not having to buy a new vehicle for the next 10-15 years.

Damn, that’s a steal! Timing belt at 90k, oil changes on time, and that 4.7 will run forever. One of the best motors Toyota ever made.
