[size:14pt][/size] # Isn't this supposed to be the mark for "pound"? And BTW WTF is a "Hash Tag"? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Are we becoming a nation of idiots?

Is it really too difficult to type a whole word?

Is everything these days an accronym?

I find it strangely ironic that the title of your thread begins with an acronym.

the word "hash" were used by programmer to create associated keys instead of indexed , later on :

Quote
A hashtag is a type of metadata tag used on social networks such as Twitter and other microblogging services, allowing users to apply dynamic, user-generated tagging which makes it possible for others to easily find messages with a specific theme or content.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashtag

if you prefix a word with # , the background program adds or creates a hash list with that word.

I found it funny that the hash tag for the "Me Too" movement reads "pound me too."

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.

I get tired of the damn acronym idiocy too. He's right about being "Too lazy to write out a whole word." It's ok if you're in a specific conversation with a narrow group that is workng or discussing a very specific subject or subject matter, but when you're throwing it out to a diverse audience just to show off or sound cool and you leave half the group trying to break your little cool code, it ceases to be funny or cool.

#MeToo I always read that as Pound Me Too. Exactly what they were complaining about during their "movement"
