Up for sale today is a CZ 455 UltraLux in .22LR, a 28.9" barrel length rifle that is amazing for silhouette competitions, or for use with peep sights such as the BRNO peep set. Also works well with a scope, but the added sight radius is the real draw for this guy.

HOWEVER, use of subsonic ammo means this thing is about as quiet as a suppressed rifle, but without the tax stamp, wait, or hassle. For varmint/pest control, it would work amazingly well! Another great thing about the 455 model is you can order various barrels in .22LR, .17HM2, .22WMR, or .17HMR and swap them out, allowing for multiple calibers with one receiver.

Aside from some light marks on the rear sight base and left side of the barrel and some safe handling marks in the wood, this thing is in excellent condition. Shoots great with CCI SV and cycles smoothly!

Free bump. I own one of these, and it’s all that - about as accurate an iron sighted, off the shelf .22 as you can buy. Someone will have fun with this.

I love my ultralux! Be careful with sub-sonic ammo with that long barrel! I squibbed a CCI Quiet in mine a few months ago. Glad I was paying attention! Fortunately, with that long barrel, CCI standards seem quieter in this gun than sub-sonics in shorter barrels.

Wolf Match Target works much better in my 452's, discontinued in 2012, I believe. Best .22 bolt made imo!

Will this shoot shorts?

I’m not sure, never tried it. With a 29” barrel, I’d imagine HV would be fine, but anything else might be taking a risk of it getting stuck.
