Thanks for the heads-up.
Unfortunately many voters are stupid. They have no concept of checks and balances and why the electoral system was set up in the first place. They think such proposals are "fair."
Hopefully competent forces will marshall against this amendment. After all, Trump won Ohio by 8% in 2016.
Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.
Democrats would burn this country to the ground, if they could rule over the ashes.

Doesn't something this suicidal require a constitutional ammendment? Ohio has been a great place for out-of-state money to push these ballot issues and amend the state constitution to allow crap the legislature would never pass. That's how we got casinos, racinos, and medical pot. If it fails once, they just spend more money and try it again. Dip$hits in Columbus, Cleveland, etc. will vote for anything. Actually, not. Ohio is a test market for many products and businesses. If it will work here, it has the potential to work elsewhere. We are not the simpletons you seem to expect, in fact, the "hunters against hunger" type programs started here, then spread countrywide. I used to be in telemarketing (it was a terrible job), and I've seen alot of the data that supports Ohio as a test market.

New Mexico's new governor signed a bill that does just that into law earlier this week. Challenges to the law addressed to the Secretary of State have so far been rebuffed. Probably going to take a lawsuit, hopefully in federal court... It boils down to voter disenfranchisement. Gus nailed it - this is going to be hilarious when a Republican wins the popular vote.

George Carlin said “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” I've been here for more than 30 years, and I've seen worse.  I think we are ahead of the curve.
