Man I really appreciate all the info, keep it coming good and bad. I'm really enjoying this .,308 due to I can shoot a lot and its not a pain in my shoulder like my 7 mag A-bolt II.
Also talked to my buddy. He actually dialed my load back a little to compensate for the summer months in case pressures were very close. Time will tell when it gets hot down here in Louisiana.

Any of you guys use or have tried these on whitetail? My Rem 700 .308 with 20" Shilen select match barrel loves these things and shoots them at about about .5" at 200 yards.
Nosler 125 gr BT, Rem brass, CCI, 47gr H322 @ 3180 fps Yes but about 1,000 fps slower than your load. I can verify this bullet works very well on whitetail at around 2000-2200 fps, DRT deer. Yondering, Could you post your data, please. I will only hold you liable for the fun I have with that load! be great to turn my 84M into a big bore .22 WMR w an H2 on top...

My buddy is a bit recoil shy and shoots the 125's in his model 7 I believe somewhere in the 2950 range. He swears by them and has taken at least 4 or 5 deer + a few hogs that I know of, all 1 shot kills and no tracking. He also uses the same 125's in the Blackout and has taken a few with it now. Myself, I prefer the 150's for deer and hog but I can't argue with his results.

I'm using it in a 9" barrel 300 Blackout rather than 308 (hence the 1,000 fps slower) so I'm not sure the data will help, but it's the 125 NBT over 18.0gr of H110 at 2.060" with a CCI 450, in mixed headstamp 300 Blk brass. It's a pretty easy load for kids to shoot. I don't have a 308 load to duplicate that, but would probably start with H4895 maybe?

I loaded some of the 125's for a recoil-shy new hunter with her lightweight 308 Win rifle. Was with her when she shot and dropped a fat whitetail buck at about 120 yards. The bullet went through both shoulder-blades and was recovered, very flattened out, just under the off-side hide.
That deer dropped instantly!
I loaded the Nosler 125's to about 3,000 fps, and they were seriously accurate too.

Try Hodgdon's starting load of 4198 and the 125. Should be somewhere in the 2800 fps range.

You did not "seen" anything, you "saw" it. A "creek" has water in it, a "crick" is what you get in your neck. Liberals with guns are nothing but hypocrites.

The 125 Ballistic tip should be a good 300 Savage bullet. I’m gonna try them first.

My buddy who was Nosler's Customer Satisfaction rep for decades recommended the 30-125gr BT for shooters who needed less recoil on whitetails. I've shot them on varmints and they are tougher constructed. Another buddy used them in the South when they needed to have bucks DRT. He called them "killer greens" for closer ranges.
