Booker would already be a footnote in history if Gov Christie didn’t have a special election in mid October 2013 to protect his race for governor. Sen Lautenberg died and Christie was scared that increased Dem turnout on Election Day would end up hurting his campaign. So to the tune of $25 million they had a special election 2 weeks before the general election. Christie was just as dirty as Booker. Booker was mayor of one of the worst cities in NJ and that’s saying something.

the fact that such a bill could be introduced into the senate hopper, is just one more indication of how far we have come in this country.

as a democratic republic, the bottom line is always votes. as long as votes continue, then politics continue.
