My buddies Savage A 17 has given him nothing but problems from magazines falling out ( New stock fixed that) to only fire 3-4 shots and it either jams or feed failure. Has there ever been a fix for the feeding problems ?

Start at the fhuqking start.
It's simply a mag/catch/orientation issue...though no matter what you do,it will still be a POS fhuqking Salvage.
Hint.................

My A17 feeds fine when well lubricated. The magazine needs to fit solid and I push the magazine release tab all the way forward to get solid fit. I will mention on my A17 the accu trigger can work a little different. I can push the outside of the trigger (not the middle safety blade) and it sets the sear release to very light pull. When I pull the accu blade only, the rifle fires at a 2Lb trigger pull weight. The trigger pull weight is 3.5 to 4 LBs when pulling the accu trigger in normal manner.. This procedure will not work on my A22 or bolt action Savages with accu trigger. This may be just a quirk on my particular A17 rifle. CCI 16 grain GREEN is most accurate ammunition in my 17HMR. Winchester is least accurate with Hornady in the middle.
Stick may need more shooting time with his lady

Most mag problems on A17 is operator error. Best to hold ejector back while pushing in mag click the front in and make sure the back pops in. My works every time.
