How much faith do you have in biometric or RFID pistol safes, vs the simplest key lockboxes?

I have no faith in a safe with a battery.

I've had a Hornady AR Gunlocker for several months with no issues. That model uses RFID, or keypad, or keys. That's where I stash firearms for whatever reason I don't want them laying about. I usually use the keypad, but my wife prefers the RFID. I did put one of the RFID stickers on the back of my phone under the case - works great. I wanted something with a lot of capacity and it fits under the bed.

I've had a Liberty bedside biometric safe (110v w/battery backup) for a couple years. I haven't had any problems with it There have been occasions where it did not recognise a finger swipe but responded to another. It also has a key backup. I don't, however, trust it completely and generally open the safe when I go to bed. I would do the same with any safe because fumbling for keys in an emergency from a dead sleep would be a cluster too.
