Drew a deer tag for the first hunt in Unit 26 (fork antlered deer--can be either mule deer or whitetail). This unit begins a few hundred yards east of the house, and we know most of the ranchers--some are family. Get to sleep in my own bed and eat well in my wife's kitchen, so I can't complain.

Congrats Ben. Sleeping in your own bed and not eating your own cooking ? What could be any better ?

Congrats Ben! I was fortunate as well. I'll be flying back to hunt whitetails in November. Hope I can stop by and share a coffee/beer with you.

Looks like my wife will be hunting elk. It's green ELK1-302. We bought a hunt at the local NWTF banquet years ago with Audrey @ Trophy Ridge Outfitters. It was good until we drew the tag-----looks like this is the year. Pretty sure it's somewhere in the Gila.

Unit 19 WSMR deer. Congrats to all that had a successful draw. Congrats! Keep us posted! Interested to see what the wsmr deer and elk hunts produce! We got lucky. OIL oryx for my wife and Mcgregor oryx for me with a 31 muzzleloader deer kicker! Also got invites on a rifle ibex and a desert sheep so its taken my mind off of what a Chitshow my state is!
