22 Creed, 7” twist, 88 ELD How fast are you pushing 88's in yours? I can't seem to get them running over 3,150 where as the 75's are cooking at 3,470 fps. At those speeds the 75's run neck and neck with the 88's to 1,100 yards and for varmints, I'd take the added velocity myself. Don’t have one yet, but that’s what I’ll be running when I do.

Aren't the 22 Creed and 22-250 AI were very similar?
And Alpha brass will fireform in the 22-250 chamber?

I shot a 22-250 and 52 grain Amax's for years. It was pretty good out to around 450, but it didn't take a lot of breeze to blow them around past that point. I'm currently shooting the same rifle, a Cooper, with an 8 twist barrel and 75 grain ELD-M's. Took two prairie dogs last spring at 1127 and 1131 yards. These bullets buck wind pretty well.

I'm building a 260 AI for 500-1000 yard varmint but ricochets might be an issue. As a sidenote look at the 22-53gr VMAX in 5.56 AR15. My HBAR gets 3200 fps. Run that in JBM and it should expand out to 575 yards in Montana's elevation. I'm going to look into another 22-250 with a 1-9 twist. I'll be concentrating on 53gr VMAX to 75gr ELDM.

There's a guy on here using the same twist in 22-250 shooting the 88gr ELDM. Frank at snipershide was using that bullet in the valkyre and shooting past a mile. But how can you argue with 1127 and 1131 yard PD's. Nice shooting!

And Alpha brass will fireform in the 22-250 chamber? Alpha 224 Kreedmire brass,is a nice way to reap 95% of a 22-250AI,prior to forming the case. 224 Kreedmire brass sized for positive headspace in one of my 22-250AI's on left...fired case of same Lot,to the right. NO go in a SALAMI 22-250 chamber,or close. Hint...............

Your Drooling Dumbfhuqktitude,is plum amazing. Congratulations?!? Now you can say you've "seen" a 260AI(24" Hart 8"). AICS binderless DBM magfed Smooches ala 147 ELD,whether forming or real. Pass the Lever' fueled 75gr Hornie HPBT's in the Krunchenticker,at 2800fps in an 18" or longer spout(I've a "few"). Hint..................

I've seen plenty of firearms. You do have some nice rifles. But I'd rather see some rats, chucks, badgers and so on. I vote for a Remage or whatever in the 22-250 David. The chucks are getting active here in Eastern Oregon. In Idaho they been up for a month now. Your buddy is going to have a great time over there in Montana. That used to be one of the states in my sales territory.

James now has 224 Kreedmire spouts. When I last talked to him on the phone,he was asking me about freebore for same and I told him no more than .100" for me.

20” barrel on a 22 Creedmoor with the Ultra 7 on the spout would be a fun rig. Maybe more fun than the 243...

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

Will a 1:8 twist work with 88 ELDM and the 22 Creed?

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.
