Nice trap line gun was the first thing that came to mind.
Good thing my gun buying days are over or I'd be $200 poorer.

My bday is a little over 4 months off, so I'm banking on them being available. My very first gun ever was a High Standard Double Nine, which also had an aluminum frame.

i like it a lot, especially the bronze. weight is good (30 oz), cylinder, frame, and barrel are all aluminum. steel inserts for chambers and barrel. cerakote does eventually wear, but i would honestly expect one of these to last as long as a normal single six. accuracy should be similar.
im buying one as soon as they show up at the local shop.

Wording these days is so odd, must be for the nimrods.

Not sure I like the looks of the finish on those? Heck, maybe they look better in person. I do want to have a closer look at one.

From what I understand, the Wrangler has a zinc alloy grip frame, and aluminum cylinder frame. The cylinder and barrel are steel.

It would look pretty nice with some wood grips, and supposedly the Single-Six grips fit it, so there are a lot of options out there.

Its gotta be alot better than a heritage. My dad gave my brother and me a heritage a few years ago for Christmas. It locks up when cocking it alot. It stays in the box in the safe since it was a gift from my dad. This little ruger will be perfect woods companion without worrying if you drop it or get it wet. Ill buy one and if they come out with a convertible one ill prob get one too.

Ive got a HS Double Nine Longhorn with the 9 1/2” barrel that I still like to shoot occasionally. Which reminds me the cylinder stop has seen better days so I should probably order up a new one
