You have some YouTube DB up your way....Chuke.....took a big schitt on it. I own some Glocks. I don't care for the large frame ones. Any non Glock never gets a fair shake in my opinion. Long sight radius, great adjustable sights. And for a chest carry handgun, I really like the idea of a beavertail grip safety. I tend to grow very weary of the Glock fanboys who shoot one box of Walmart ammo through their Glocks at the local dump and claim "uber reliable". Think many modern handguns are uber reliable too.
Please God, give me some good tags this year....

I like the looks of it have a Glock 20 with heavier spring and shoot Buffalo Bore 220 Gr through it. No issues but like the idea of the Beaver Tail safety.
Don,t think a lot of Chuke,s u tube videos myself, so wanted other opinions, local 3 Bears had one in stock for $610 5.25" liked the feel and trigger.
Was wrong about price 4.5" $601 and change. Like it !
Glock mags, holsters and accy. are cheap and easy to find!

I’ve had a 5.25” about a month. So far no issues with mostly 180gr. FMJ any where from whimpy factory stuff in the low 1000’s to my reloads that chrony at 1200fps. Only mod so far is replacing the factory recoil spring (18lbs.) with a Wolff 22lb. spring. Made a difference in felt recoil and case ejection distance. Shot a few factory boxes of 180gr. JHP ammo in the 1300fps range and it eats them with no issues and recoil feels like warm 45’s! This IS my new woods/hunting pistol!

There's a big difference between the price of the 4.5" and the 5.25". Shorter one is $504 and longer barrel is $603 wholesale from a major distributor with three letters in their name.

Don,t want the open top slide on the 5.25" for a back country carry gun here in AK. Picked up the 4.25" Springfield wife has a harder time cycling the slide on the Springfield rather than the Glock 20 with a 22# spring, and she spends a lot of time going on long distance remote hikes.

Shot the XDM 10mm today accurate and reliable. Went through about 7 inches of wood about 10" stopped 180 gr FP. Knick River in the Solar jet boat today very early for ice to be gone, love it!

Shot the XDM 10 MM and a Glock 20 10 MM side by side, preference both by me and my wife is the Glock, less felt recoil and easier to rack the slide, about equal accuracy. Both are reliable so far. The Glock has a 22 # spring so that may help with the recoil.

Any one know of a Kydex OWB paddle style holster, made for the 10 MM Springfield XDM 4.5" . Most say the .45 Holster will work but its not quite right.

Don,t want the open top slide on the 5.25" for a back country carry gun here in AK. What's so special about Alaska? And why do you care if the top is open? Ever see a Beretta 92?

I just received my 5.25" XDm. Shoot a few rounds every day this week. Maybe 60 through the gun. Took a while but I think it will be tough to beat this accuracy. Factory Hornady 180XTP. I shot under 1.5" for 5 this week, but at 20....but it was 180 Berry jacketed FMJ over 13.8 AA#9. Be good training load.

Don,t care for the ports , place to pick up debris , even tape the bottom of the holster, plus just like the 4.25" version better.

Open topped slide, I watched Nutin Fancy in one of his videos have problems with a Glock 35 or 34.

Now that makes sense. The concern over the open top slide is pure ignorance.
