Never had heard of putting gravy on French fries until a very sweet young lady from southern IL I used to work with ordered them at lunch one day. Didn't sound nor look too appetizing to me but I tried it and and was surprised at how good it was. Dairy Queen sells some pretty tasty breaded chicken chicken strips served with fries and side of white milk gravy to dip the chicken strips in. When ever we eat there I always order an extra side of gravy just for the fries now.

I like gravy on my fries,and never eat catsup. My favorite is gravy on pan fried potato's. miles

Old? Hardly! I'll have you know I'm extremely immature for my age! And besides, I dunno where they put the camera on one o' them non-Apple phones. Then there's the part about the two of us taking up an awful lot of screen space...  The gravy fries were quite respectable, indeed. In the future, I may ask for them to be fried well-done prior to the application of the gravy. Good stuff, to be sure. And a tip of the Forstdiensthut to Shaman for sharing this gem. FC

LOL! The greater Cincy area does have a lot of tasty chili dives. Better take it in small doses, though. They can put an old man in an early grave!

Of course, when they die in their mid-90's, there's always somebody left to claim it was the chili that got him.
