Just using the factory plastic. You click in mag and think its in, but you can grab the rear and it literally moves up and down 1/4". Still stays in gun, but when rear drops it won't feed.

The first batch they made for magnums wouldn't feed at all. They redid them and mailed me two new ones. They don't lock in.

I've tried rear first, front first, both at same time, bolt open, bolt closed, standing on my head....don't lock.

They had delay after delay when they introduced them and they are still not right. You saved me some money

Expensive decoy weights.

Honestly, I've had zero problems with factory plastic. Now that prices have dropped, the mountain tactical are pointless

I ran that past my buddy who is a retired ME and he agrees that it is very very odd .

The mountain tactical also hang down a lot farther even though same capacity as factory. A larger, heavier mag that doesn't lock...who wouldn't buy one? Lol

but it was nicely machined and top notch materials used in it . They should have made something closer to an A7 magazine if they wanted metal, not that the A7 magazine is arwork either.

There is a huge market for it. Although like you said the factory magazines work just fine.

Not sure why they didn't add another round if they made it larger anyway. A stamped metal mag design like mil AR mags would have been a lighter cheaper option too. That being said, really doesn't matter if they won't lock.

Is it just me or does the red circled area on the new magazine look different then the original by a lot?

You're correct. Something is off on their design, I'm sure that's why it won't lock... They don't seem to believe me -or- they don't want to concede the mags are junk. You'd think there'd be some R&D before they offered them .
