I'm assuming if you believe in our Heavenly Father, a significant portion then would also believe in the devil. If it is the devil's goal to do evil and deceive,, just how does one sort out what is gospel and what is false? I have changed all my prayers. I now pray to " Heavenly Father" for as far as I know the word God may be the devils name. God's chosen people. Could this really be the same people flooding our minds with the filth that comes from movies and music, that works to undermine our values thru the courts? How do you guys sort this out?

I don’t worry about it. I pray to God. I’m pretty confident He’s getting the messages.

Even non Christians know right from wrong. I don't have to be a biblical scholar to know you don't murder people because they believe something different then you do. Although I find gays to be disgusting, I know I shouldn't toss them off a roof. I know you shouldn't lie, cheat, and steal, and I know calling it something other than lying, cheating or stealing doesn't make it right.
Christianity is believing that Christ suffered and died on my behalf.
Knowing right from wrong is having a moral compass.

god is a generic term in my view. it could be allah, but most think not.

it could also be Great Spirit, YHWH, Elohim, El-Shaddi, Almighty Creator, and numerous other possibilities as spelled in the english language.

beseeching almighty god is a term i heard a lot in prayers in church when growing up.

if the debil did exist, does he still exist?

does he control earth?

does he work under "god's" direction?

is a tornado evil? was it sent by the debil?

can a debil keep prayer from working as it should?

if we all prayed hard enough, could we disable der debil?

The enemy is a sneaky ,creepy power.
He will try to imitate, but will leave telltale signs behind, like angry, frustration, jealousy etc...a sign he has been around. The more you seek out God , the more that creep harasses you.
I bring God, Jesus or the Holy spirit into the conversation and the enemy leaves me alone.
I can't even believe I speak like this now in my life but I am aware of this warfare ...he is panicking, so maybe we are close. If in doubt I say " Sweet Jesus" . All day long-easy to say and nothing is truer.

As long as you know who you are praying to, the name doesn't matter. There are many languages with different words that mean the same thing. Heavenly Father, Lord, Almighty God or simply God....as long as you know, He will too. Part of Satan's plan is confusion, so don't let the drone of garbage flying around confuse you, you know what's in your heart.

There is a back story I probably should have included. I recently ha e started shooting pool again. I made the acquaintence of a guy (actually the dynamics are such you tend to meet everyone). Anyway the individual I'm referring to is happy to shoot for a couple hundred a rack a d is there everyday. No big deal but come to find out he's a "Bishop", owns a church, and preaches on the radio every Sunday morning. So one day he asks me if I would like him to say a prayer for me. Of course I would, except he ended a very generous prayer with the statement that I agree to send his "church" 10% of my income for the rest of my earning life. So there I am with a "do you want these blessings, 10%, pay the cashier on your way out". I'm seldom speechless, but this one took me by surprise. Somehow I don't feel compelled to fund this guys gambling habit. I mean, Father, though shall not sheer thy sheep should be a part of the gig. So there's my conflict which has given rise to some soul searching.

Ask righteous Job, ..the Lord did a deal with Satan and told him what he could and couldn't do to Job.

effectively mans adversary the devil, is Gods divinely approved mercenary and appointed prince of this world.

God gave Satan an important role and God trusts that he will carry out that role to best of his God given ability ..

God has told his bumbass scatterbrain sheep to be 'as wise as serpents', God knows his flock are helpless and stupid,
but it shows he has recognition and even a level of respect for the abilities of the devil.

Outside of God , nobody knows God better than Satan, who was once Gods most cherished inner sanctum angel
and who still knows and understands God way more intimately than clueless humans....any Christian who knew God
a small fraction as well as Satan does, would be doing astoundingly well.

Just remember there's only one worthy match for the devil because he's that capable, hence why its a spiritual entity
realm battle.
Humans are mostly good for nothing in Gods eyes.
