That is the Lincoln bear, you can see the full body mount it in Lincoln at the forest service headquarters....
It was hit by a logging truck just outside Lincoln



Right-o..that was the Lincoln bear, and the following year one was trapped( and weighed) at Choteau that went 1100 pounds. He was released and hopefully still out there someplace....
