...we need to have an annual back pack deep in Grizzly country for liberals. Let there lovely bears thin them out... Call it the Treadwell WMA.

This one was hit near glacier park 5 years ago or so. Not kodiak sized, but big enough. That is the Lincoln bear, you can see the full body mount it in Lincoln at the forest service headquarters.... It was hit by a logging truck just outside Lincoln Right-o..that was the Lincoln bear, and the following year one was trapped( and weighed) at Choteau that went 1100 pounds. He was released and hopefully still out there someplace....

Could be quite dangerous. We should throw Pelosi at him to drive him away.
"It's for the children" Doesn't seem very sporting to baiting the bear with such a toxic substance. Given the two, I'd rather keep the bear.

From that angle he doesn't look like a spring bear....might be the way the picture is taken. A picture is necessarily accurate anymore. That is definitely spring snow That was my first thought too as soon as I saw that snow, good observation.

We are headed for Cody, Wy in 2 weeks and plan on lots of hiking on both sides of the N. Fork of the Shoshone. We have seen a few Griz in that area and hope to again.
