If you follow them on Facebook, they sometimes announce when have them in the online store either because of a promotion or because someone didn't pay for it when it was done. That's how I got that one. Otherwise, it's about 20 weeks.

xd40 that i won years back. trying to get to like it. even bought 1000 rounds of ammo to try and hit decently with it. but sum ting wong with my technique. keep hitting left of POA unless i really concentrate on trigger finger position. other guns its just natural but this one for some reason is not.

I've been experimenting with 357 Sig loads lately; worked up a load with a hardened 100gr FP solid @ 1700 fps that's a freakin' laser beam and penetrates like crazy, but is still milder to shoot than standard 165/180gr 40 S&W defense loads. That's with a couple G35-length barrels in the cheap G22 leo trade-in guns. One of the barrels has a brake on it; that one recoils like very mild 9mm but is LOUD. Comparing some of the 357 Sig loads in various pistols has been interesting too, with Sig and Glock barrels ranging from 3.8" to 5.3" long. A bud's 357 Sig carbine is available too, but I've learned that blowback actions and 357 Sig don't mix well with hot loads (and why else would you shoot 357 Sig?); it starts extracting under pressure and leaves the case necks very short or non-existent, and with some ammo will separate case heads.

An old '71 Colt Commander 45- lots. Runs great, shoots real well and carries so nice you'll wonder why you ever bought a plastic gun.

That sounds like fun! I have a G32 that I shoot some, but I need to start reloading for it if I am going to practice as much as I should. As far as social loads go, I really like the Underwood 125 gr Gold Dot. Loud, snappy, and screws up 1 gallon water jugs like nobody's business. cool

Shot my new CZ 75D PCR Compact in 9mm last week. Grouped badly with Winchester white box 124gr FMJ NATO rounds, something like 10" 15-shot groups at 10yds. I was very disappointed until I shot my carry load of Federal 125gr HST into around 2 1/2" 15-shot group at the the same 10yds. I was happy with that considering my bad eyes.

I picked up one of the blued 4-5/8ths inch barreled Single Seven Lipsey's specials in .327 Federal. Not that fond of the humongous bead sight so I contacted Ruger and they sent me the standard sights for the stainless 4-5/8ths inch Single Sevens. Factory grips are a bit bulky so I may swap them out, too. I did a trigger job on it. It's been to the range 3 times. It isn't doing all that great with jacketed .327 Federal ammo but it shoots pretty well with my old .32 mag loads of a 98 grain RCBS SWC and either10 grains of Win 296 or 8 grains of 2400.

I haven't shot it this season but I finally got around to loading some of the .401" beartooth 200 grain LBT-style flat nose gas checked bullets in the old Ruger Buckeye .38-40.

Otherwise so far this year I've been focusing on accuracy loads for an AR. Also waiting for my .257 Roberts (Kimber Montana) to come back from the gunsmith.

In the last couple months a new Henry lever in 327 has followed me home as well as a new Ruger LCRx in 327, both of which have been mentioned in previous threads. I also just retrieved a 4.2" SP 101 in 327 from the gunsmith after an action tune. It has to go back as the hammer is striking lightly, and misfired a couple times out of thirty rounds.

I am shooting mostly an Accurate FP 120 gr over 12.3 gr of H110. But have also been playing with some shot shells filled with #12 shot and capped with a gas check. The shot shells are going to be the ticket for any varmint inside five yards. The 120's in the LCR are accurate enough to do the job a 2 inch revolver is designed to do inside ten yards, though as Bob warned me the 120s start climbing fast after five yards and are about 4 inches high at ten yards. The LCR is a bit of a handful with this load, but really is no more unpleasant to shoot than the longer and heavier 4.2 inch SP 101.

I put the Skinner aperture on the Henry. I like it a LOT. Again, shooting my 120 gr cast, it is a blast with very little felt recoil. I need to take the time to determine actual accuracy capability. So far, I have only shot it around the house out to 25 yds from off hand. It would kill a gopher at that range as well as the Campbell Soup cans I have been slaughtering.

And a 5.5" Bisley SS single six came in from Bud's this winter. Very, very impressed with this one. It is as accurate as I can shoot with Remington brass plated hollow point bulk pack ammo. It has accounted for one feral cat. He went to sleep with hardly a quiver.

The 41s are very neglected so far this year.

SBH .480 Ruger 4 5/8" and a 6 1/2" with hardcast handloads off the beaten path. Got my first bootfull of water in many years crossing a vigorous stream.

Found a guy's wallet with a dozen credit cards, ID and his WA carry permit. Must have floated down a stream as it was hundreds of yards from any trail.

Must have been doing something right for one cylinder at 23 yards with the GP with 5 rounds into about 1.5" and the 6th round a few inches left... That was SA that I usually don't shoot as well as DA...

What do you think of the GP-100 MC 10mm? I picked one up a few weeks ago and so far it's really impressed me. I have about 500 rounds of plinking loads using 220gr plated bullets and Trail Boss through it so far while breaking it in and the 25 yard double action groups have been better than I expected for a thrown together load.

Other than the GP-100 10mm, The usual suspects have come out:
Kimber TLE 45acp
Ruger Super Redhawk 7.5" 480 Ruger
Ruger Mk III Hunter 22lr

Last week some the "not so usual" group of handguns came out:

338 SnipeTac

284 Win

The 338 SnipeTac only comes out when I'm shooting beyond 1000 yards, the other 2 come along when I'm shooting between 400-1200 yards. I haven't taken the 6mm BR pistol out for a while, I think it's time to dig it out!

New Emissary gun belt came in this week.
Didn't do any shooting this weekend, but did some loading. For the .223 Wylde's 70gr Nosler Accubond, 69gr NCC, and their new 77gr NCC's with the rebated boat tail. Hopefully the weather cooperates and I can try them out next weekend.

Interesting. I have two 4 5/8" single sevens in the safe. They each came with a blade front sight, very similar but a bit taller than the blade on the 5.5" single six. I have had the action tuned and Williams Fire Sights installed front and back on one of them.

We often shoot 78 gr Lasercast with 3 gr Universal in them. The kids can make four inch steel plates dance out to 25 yds with this load. It is easy on the hands and easy on the ears.

I got a new Ruger Single-Six Bisley and a barely used CZ 85 Combat 9MM - both in the cold dead of winter.

Any day now . . .

I have been shooting my somewhat new to me S&W M&P 2.0 9mm a lot. First time owning a striker fired piece and with time I am getting it to shoot where I aim. Also, a recent addition of an early Ruger 22/45 Lite as practice for the 9. Prior my handgun use was mainly hunting so this is all new to me gearing up to get my concealed carry license. Just learning to shoot faster and accurately like I did when I was competing in college with a 1911 in the early 80's. I am thoroughly enjoying the relearn.
