1.What type of terminal performance are you getting on deer,black-bear and boar?
2.What is the velocity of your load?

Good,haven't chrony'ed it but 100 gr 777 and game 'aint compaining long

I took two deer with the SST and 100gn of pyrodex. Each deer was shot at approx 80 yards. Each dropped shy of 100 yards and one exited. Good blood trail with the usual bloody mess on the inside.

Accuracy is one inch or less at 100 yards. T/C encore, 4.5x14x50 Leupy and barrel swabbed between rounds. I had one 1.5 inch group at 150 yards. Very accurate, no need for me to cont' searching for the perfect ML bullet.

The reason for my inquire is not for a muzzleloader but about the bullet itself.

It is the bullet being loaded by Hornady in the 450Bushmaster at a muzzle velocity of 2050fps.

I figured ya'll would have the best info and intell on this bullet.

I have shot many deer with it. Muzzle velocities were around 2600 fps. At close range I needed to be careful since it was beyond its design velocity and had a tendency of making fist sized entrance wounds.

2050 fps should be about perfect for this bullet, fast expansion and it should hold together fine for deep penetration.
