East/east central Texas has been getting pretty wet the last day or so. Went down the the boat dock around 1AM to fish a while. Every now and then I'd hear a distant rumble even though that front was 200+ miles away. Fronts moving in Louisiana now. Forecast calling for thunderstorms and rain next three days. Sure been a wet year so far.

Dodged a bullet here yesterday afternoon. We were baling hay, and the pop-up thundershowers were all around us. It started raining just as we moved the last bale out of the field. It's supposed to be a chance of thunderstorms for the next 3 days.

As Tikka says, our Tuesday/Wednesday storm is now yours. It was cold, but not a "cherry killer" like we had last year. And the brief cold spell will slow the snow melt, bringing some reprieve from flooding. That's good, because the next week is going to be all sun and warm.

Ok thanks OP

That means a lot to thousands of people on here that do not live within 200 miles of your forecast footprint.

Got it really good here 30 miles south of you. Just got 4 rows of Bodacious Sweet yellow in the ground, and a row of collards and okra seed. Good and steady for an hour.

You folks and my relatives have certainly gotten your fair share of rain this year. I’m hoping the front either continues to hold up or quickly moves through....State Baseball playoffs continue this weekend! I have plans to listen to some of the games.....don’t need “no stink’n” weather messing up the games! grin memtb

4" in 24 hours Caddo Gap Ar. River peaked yestereday at 11.6' down a few feet over night and just peaked at 11.8' an hour ago normal river height is around 5' . The river has been yo yo all winter and spring, makes for tough fishing. But the white water canoeing and kayaking is awesome.

I saw on the news where Longview, Tx area got around 6" last night. The good thing is that the front is breaking up as it goes east. We got 1/2" maybe, but there is still chances of more coming our way.

We were going to plant the garden, but held off. Afraid thunderstorms would wash it out. Maybe next week.
