Yep, hindsight.....I wasn't oblivious to the possibility of theft, my wife talked about it a dozen times, but I didn't expect it in so blatant a spot.

It hurts to see you lose the T100. I have a '98 like yours and I'll never get rid of it. Freaking tank, that one. You can't break it.

That totally sucks Broomd. Sorry to hear it...

I had a pair of Swaro binos stolen about 10 years ago and it still grates on me. I feel your pain.

I hope you get some resolution.

Broomd: I feel just terrible for you!
I hope that somehow your loss is made right!
I was born, raised, educated, married, worked and lived the first 49 years of my life within 10 miles of Renton, Washington and it was once a wonderful thriving community.
I graudated from Renton High School in 1965 with 851 other "Seniors" - 99% of whom were sons and daughters of white working class stand up people.
It wasn't to long after that the work ethic was allowed/encouraged to be ignored by more and more liberal politicians.
The area turned to schidt in a hurry. An influx of welfare rat, drugged up minorities moved in and then Russian deplorable types infiltrated the area in LARGE numbers.
Illegal Mexicans began propagating at an amazing rate - heavily dependent on welfare and the underground drug trade and thievery.
All of this made for a miserable and unsafe area to live and work in.
I retired at age 49 and moved to Montana - never to even contemplate moving back.
There is a slight chance your property will be recovered but I would NOT count on it.
I was just out to that area last month to visit relatives. And do to chasing guns and visiting gunshops on the way out there I would not arrive in Renton until midnight - to avoid interrupting my relative there's sleep I chose to rent a motel room in Issaquah, Washington about 25 miles from my birthplace and hometown of Renton.
Again I am very sorry for your loss and victimization!
My brother and sister who still live within 5 miles of Renton have had two cars stolen and two attempted stolen cars in the last 20 years there.
Chop shopped, both, I am sure.
Seems that troubles, ghetto's, high insurance rates, crime waves, drugs, welfare rats and worsening living conditions just seem to naturally follow "liberal politicians" - coincidence?
I think not!
Wish there was something that I could do to help!

Varmint, did you play basketball with Rick Basquette?

Sorry, that really sucks.
They deserve no mercy when caught, likely we are better off long term not to catch them but I would want to.

Tough deal, Broom.
That is horrible, but I must say I was thinking that your home had been cleaned out when I saw this.
Smart man on the insurance.

Remington6MM: Even though I was well over six feet tall all during high school I only made the 9th grade team.
Lots of extremely good basketball players (big Ron Colston!) at Renton High School back then and it was the norm for "our teams" to win the state championship quite often!
If I recall correctly Rick Basquette (I can't find my 1965 Illahee yearbook!) was a handsome not especially tall dark haired fellow?
Again if I recall correctly he was very athletic and also an excellent student.
By any chance would you be he?
More later still looking for the 65 Illahee. Found 1962 and 1963 but no 64 or 65.

Varmint, I would not be he but you got the tall handsome part right. No , Rick is my adopted younger brother. We grew up in Billings and he moved to Renton to finish high school.

Small world.

An unemployed Jester, is nobody's Fool.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.

Next time you have to park your rig in a shady spot for the night just lay a set 330 conibear set on the drivers seat and cover it up with a few short about the color of the seat.

That should have them rethinking taking your sheet!

My brother couldn’t get out of Renton quick enough. Hopefully Geico will get you straight. There’s gotta be some security cameras around that place somewhere.

They don't even prosecute property crime here much less sentence for it. Of course, crime is rampant. It's a ridiculous travesty and they just want to double down on it as if the failure is due to not be committed enough to the absurd policies.

Sorry to hear that man. But, that schit happens. That's why we have insurance right?

Our honda pilot got stolen out of my SIL's driveway while we were visiting them for the evening. Very nice neighborhood. Of course some personal things were taken and yes, potential access to the house by address and such.

I hope I'm home if he shows up.
