IPAs are some of the best, once the taste buds mature.

I believe your exact words regarding that fine IPA was,
“this don’t suck too bad!”

More flavorful and aromatic than the withering English IPA, its color can range from very pale golden to reddish amber.

IPA's are great as long as there is NO, I said NO citrus flavor of any KIND in the beer. It seems to be a simple request that many beers fail.

kwg

I realize that it's a matter of tastes and perhaps even acquired tastes.

Personally I like malty tasting brews.

And sure, I also like grapefruit juice. I just don't like it in my beers.

But if it don't suck that bad, then down she goes.

A wheat beer using ale yeast... very prone to chill haze and a near total lack of flavor or character.

Tried just about ever little berg's wheat from Berlin to Frankfurt. Have not tried one since. They did "suck too bad!" to my taste 😉
Hated it so much then that I won't even use any wheat product in my bait sites anymore. Now barley, sugar and porter (or malt,) the dang bears just seem to love! Makes em' taste good too, yep😀

Maybe if you use wheat they will "rise" after shooting... instead of shrinking on the ground!
