I am looking to load 100 grain spire points in a 257 weatherby mag (Vanguard). What are your suggestions as far as powders go and where should I start and begin to work up? Any and all experienced feedback is welcomed. Thank you.

Retumbo and H1000 are top choices. I ended up with Retumbo for 100gr Speers when I had mine. I think I started about 68gr with a Lee Factory crimp. I might start at 70gr without one. Velocity ended up in mid 3500s by the time I was done.

Hoddgdon hasn't published any Retumbo data, but they have pretty aggressive H1000 data on the website if I remember right.

I used IMR7828 and the data out of the old tan IMR Powders booklet. Worked great.

7828 was always top in mine. 100 grains Barnes at 3780 did a number on a bunch of big Muleys.

Do NOT "forget",that Imitation is THE most Sincere form of Flattery. Congratulations?!?

I'll feign my GREAT "surprise",that besides being a Clueless Fhuqk, that you are also a Lying Piece Of fhuqking Schit...as you "forgot" about your "heralded" Imaginary Pretend Ignore, yet again.

In fairness,I realize that English isn't your Native tongue and you are doing your best, with what incredibly little you have to work with.

Can you actually translate his posts into English? It’s a chore.
