Tikka T3X Arctic -- Who has one for sale?
The Tikka site lists these at 8.13 lbs and now availabl in a variety of chamberings. I can't find any for sale though one sight lists them.
Also, will a synthetic T-3X stock fit on one to cut a bit of weight?
Finaally, to hunt it I would need a 5 round magazine. Are there any available?
Thanks,
Gary

I'm not sure about the 5rd mag but I saw one at Whittakers a few months ago. Unless I'm mistaken the barrel profile was a little larger than that of the T3X Lite.

Why a 5 round magazine, is this a personal preference? Most states on ban larger than 5 round magazines for hunting with a semi-auto rifle.

It is a personal preference. I also use three or five shot magazines in my Ruger GSR when hunting. I don't like the protrusion and see no need for ten rounds for deer or elk.

I like 4-5 rounds in the mag +1. I generally prefer not to have a large magazine hanging below the gun, but the 5 round Tikka magazines aren't too bad. Given the option of 3 or 5 I'd prefer 5 too. My Winchester 70's are 5+1. No reason why I wouldn't want the same with a Tikka.

Agreed. Not to get carried away, I am not against firepower for varmints or hogs but again, not for most big game.
I like the availibility of 3-5-10 round mags. I have them for my GSR.
If I do get a T3X and I can fid one, I will likely get an "06. I prefer it to the .308.

What chamberings are offered? The google kept showing 308 win. I could see this as a nice guide gun rifle for yogi. 😎

That Arctic is pretty much a laminate version of the CTR isn't it? Not a bad thing by any means.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

My understanding is that the T3 Arctic is made only in .308 Win. and a new listing for 6.5 Creed with the latter not being imported to the States at present. The five round CTR magazines I have seen are externally the same as the ten round versions with blocking limiting the capacity and they are more expensive because of it.

Euro optic had them at one point, might give them a call. None in stock right now. I'm on their waiting list. They said maybe Sept. or October. Wouldn't bet one way or the other on that.
