I'm considering buying a new model mkv sporter and was unable to find any pictures of what the bedding job looks like that it now comes with. I've heard they shoot quite well now and are less fussy than the previous version.

Anyone care to share what it looks like or give your impressions of you have a wood stocked new model?

Thanks

.............................Go to the Weatherby site (MK5). You can read the description about the new MK5 stocks.

They feel better and the trigger is crisper(still not a timney) and I seriously doubt anyone is getting a Eddie Fosnaugh bedding job from Weatherby for almost 2k. Easy pass for me.

Yes, their prices have gone up outrageously. Not many rifles I would be interested in at the 2k range. I think they are pricing themselves out of the market.

They do. All of my newer ones are bedded and all shoot well under MOA.

I have an Accumark and I think the trigger is nice. Mine shot better after about 100 rounds. At first I was disappointed with the accuracy but the last few times I have shot it I have done very well. Mine takes a couple fouling shots to tighten up the groups and then starts to open up a bit after 20 or shots. Had to find that out on my own. Not all barrels are equal so some might have good results with a dirty barrel more so than a really clean barrel.

...................LOL>>>>LOL>>>LOL.........................Well!........... For being "fhuqking Dog Schit to boot" as you say they are, looks like Fotis's 300 Bee MK5 is a damned good shooter as is my own Accumark as well.

But ya know what there Mr. Sssssshstickmeister???........Anytime u wish to stand say a few hundred yards (400, 500, 600) downrange from my POS Accumark with a bright 4" to 6" in diameter bright orange/yellow circle attached to your frontal testicular area, a 300 gr VLD headed your way @ around 2900 fps MV would certainly make an improvement. Stir up them Alaskan crotch crickets of yours with any future erections coming out yer ass...........Quite messy but probably a vast improvement in your case!!!...........HINT HINT!!!...............LOL>>>>LOL>>>>
