I'm glad my State is not on the list. But the real question is Best for what??? WANT to be a Lefty, come to California and Californicate! although Washington is not far behind......if you know what I mean...…..! Politics aside, The People's Republik of Kalifornia is best in almost every way from climate to beaches to mountains and forests and deserts, actually you name it. Unfortunately one cannot put politics aside.

Lived in Seattle 1990 to 1991 - went there to design a 12-unit town-home in Kirkland for a developer I knew when I lived in Hawaii. The Steelhead and Salmon fishing was awesome, but, the people can be just like arrogant self-absorbed Texans, so I left... Lived in Arizona for 24-years - came here to remodel aunt and uncle's house - worst blunder of my entire life. None of yours or anyone's business - health reasons have me stuck here. Never hated any place I've ever lived as much as I hate Texass, not even Seattle, but I will admit that prior to Texass, Seattle was in first place... Arizona is light-years ahead of Texass.
Like Sam Houston, I will vote for what is best for ME in 2020.

I've never liked huge, spongy, lard tits, and never understood the hill-jacks that do - must have something to do with their fat little sisters during their adolescence...
I am a firm B / B-C cup man - and always will be.
