Yeah - that's not a typo. Digging through some old gear and I found this scope my grandfather picked up along the way and tried to throw it in some rings and realized my 26mm and my 30mm rings didn't work. Took some calipers to it and found it to be 28mm. Probably was a scope someone would put a 14mm rail and throw in some claw mounts, but was wondering if anyone else had run across something like this and had a different mounting solution? Before anyone asks, I called schmidt and bender and verified the serial number with them and they confirmed it was indeed a production item, but it was old enough they couldn't come up with a mounting solution.

I would think someone could 3d print an insert to allow you to use 30 or 34mm rings, similar to the inserts used on the Burris xtr rings.

Just turned some black delrin ring inserts for a customer, 30mm o.d. by 28mm i.d. Easy peasey. Chat up a buddy with a little hobby lathe.

IF you can't find someone with a hobby lathe ^^^^^ could probably get a set of the 30mmx26mm plastic adapters and just open them up with sand paper on a wooden dowel rod.

Curious as to how old is it, approx., according to S&B?
