We are getting a new parish priest from Uganda. I haven't met him yet, but when I do I will welcome the man from a land of material poverty to the land of spiritual poverty. And wish him good luck because I think his job is going to be a lot harder here.

I'd say that priest is walking into a target-rich environment.

The article is spot on. People seem to think only about what others have that they do not. They should be thinking about what they have that others do not.

I still remember what it was like in the 50s when a family of eight would live in a three bedroom, 1400 square foot home with a ten year old Chevy in the driveway, and MAYBE a black-and-white television set and one or two bicycles for the kids to share. The material wealth we DISCARD these days is staggering in comparison.

Don't be the darkness.

America will perish while those who should be standing guard are satisfying their lusts.

These are the exact thoughts of most of our young people in our country.
Your new priest may bring new thoughts to your young people.

Yup, we got our first TV in 1956 in Fairbanks, Alaska. We got to watch a lot of test pattern.

He is going to have to be VERY blunt. People are so used to being soft-peddled they think they can game God.

Based on what I've gathered from experience and from listening to some older guys who were quite wise and from folks who've seen a lot; I've come to the conclusion that there's too many spoiled people nowadays................ Spoiled rotten, to be exact. So many of whom could only be described as being too " fat, dumb, and happy". Privileged, entitled, lazy, spoiled brats who have matured into adulthood. A large voting block of gullible fools who might just eventually transform America into yet another Utopian socialist dictatorship. But that's entirely OK because it's the will of the people, right?, and it also comes with all kinds of free stuff.

Just curious - how many low wage illegal alien workers you have working in your daddy's auto-service business?

Well AZZHAT, I opened my present business 40 years ago. I had an elderly Hispanic man work for me for a few years. One of his Sons came to work for me when he received his legal papers, His oldest Son came next when he received his papers, I had the youngest Son work for me part time when he was in High School. I also employed 2 Grandsons during High School. Pop worked part time the last year and retired. The two older Brothers worked for 35 years and retired from my shop. The youngest brother went to work for a large spotwelding company and now travels the USA and Foreign countries trouble shooting and helping install machines. One of the Grandsons that worked for me is out of school and is a Pharmicist and the other is a Fine Arts Director at a high school.
Believe it or not AZZHAT, they were paid the same as my other mechanics "techs as they are called now". You know what? They all are homeowners, drive new cars, and have either put their children through college or some are still in college. And strangely enough, they are true conservatives.
I see that you are back to trolling the forum as you have done on several other forums. You must live a very sad life and have little to no self-esteem. How did the special thread about you set in your stomach?

My answer would have been: NONE, and I will invite ICE / E-verify down here today to verify it...

Get with it AZZHAT! Evidently you are not capable of owning and operating a business. We have had mandatory paperwork for "ALL" employee's citizenship status. This is a Fed requirement.
Let me add this, I have been audited by the state and Feds and am good to go and my unemployment rate is the lowest that my company is billed by the state. Must be because I've never had a claim for unemployment compensation claim or a workers comp claim in my 40yrs.

My philosophy professor (favorite subject) told me I missed my calling and should have been a lawyer because he never met anyone that could see through bullshit as fast or as accurately as I could - and HE held (may he Rest In Peace) PhD's in Philosophy, Theology, AND English...

One day at the end of a class I stood up and told him in front of the entire class that I wished the class could be 8-hours long instead of only 1-hour. He looked at me like I was totally insane.

3.8 GPA - yeah, I'm bragging, sorta like low wage illegal alien employing Biotch rubbing his old gun photos in everyone's face on any thread he can find.
