Anyone running a Winchester 320? Not an expensive rifle by any means, but feels good in the hand and shoulders like a light weight CF rifle. My question is this: How the hell does one get the bolt out? I can't seem to figure it out. Anyone have experience with one?

Disregard....maybe...both the bolt and hammer might need to be down when the trigger is pulled, then the bolt is opened and pulled out.

It's been a while since I have played with a 320.

I thought I tried that but will go at it again. Thank you!

As memory serves dryfire the bolt to.uncock. With the safety pushed forward and pulling the trigger back at the same time , pull the bolt out.

Great guns, I picked one up a couple years ago. I passed on a 310 the week earlier and was kicking myself, went back and it was gone, but they had a 320 in superb condition on the rack. I get a lot of compliments on it. They use kimber mags, so the price of used mags can get up there. I bought a couple of the triple K 10 rounders and did the modification on the tab and they fit and feed great. Mine has a heavy trigger but more accurate than my cz 455. There is a guy on rfc that has a trigger tutorial on them to lighten them up if inclined.

Thanks for that info. I bought it as a memory to an old friend who passed away earlier this year. He always thought so highly of them that whenever I would see one I would think of him. Now I can think of him daily.

BTW, I was able to remove the bolt. I pulled the trigger as I lowered the bolt, relieving pressure on the firing pin. Then, while I have the trigger pulled, I opened the bolt and it came right out. It’s amazing when one knows what he’s doing how easy things are. Thanks to T_Inman and jk16 on the advice.

Had one since 1972. IIRC, it cost $59 new? Still a tack driver with Mini Mags. The heft and feel is what caught my eye back then, because there weren't many inexpensive 22s on the market at the time, that didn't look and feel cheap.

Had it for years, before I took the action out of the stock to give it a good clean up. That's when I first noticed the Omark Australia jabber stamped on it. Many years later, read an article about the connection with the 320 and the later Kimbers. Picked up some NIB spare mags for mine about 20 years ago at a gun show, including a 10 rounder. That one is still wrapped in wax paper, in the original red/white/blue Winchester packaging.

Nee member here. Love my Winchester 320. Originally designed and made by SPORTCO in Australia, the guy who started Kimber of Oregon. Winchester provided the barrels, assembled and marketed them. When W dropped the 320, Kimber took up total production as the Kimber 82. A fairly good 22 at a good price point. The 310 is the same action in single shot. I'll post pics when I get them reduced in size.
