Serial # puts it about 1927. Some question to help identify your 99. Is it a take down? Does it have a straight stock or a pistol grip ? Is the stock checkered?

hi all. i have recently received a bunch of my Granddad's firearm stuff after he passed away, and in it is a couple of old stocks and forearms that look like they're from Savage 99s. Unfortunately I don't have any other info on them, but I do know Granddad was a Savage fan, but never got to ask him the backstory for these unfortunately. I was wondering whether any of you knowledgeable people are able to help confirm the model and potentially a date of manufacture. I'll try and upload some photos, hopefully it works. One stock has a stamped number 106414 underneath where the buttplate would be, and also what looks like a "+" sign underneath it. And one of the forearms (the checkered one) looks to me identical to the takedown model forearms. The others, I have no idea about, one is possibly a replacement so has no serial number?? It also has a different shape cut out than the first, so not sure if it is a different series or what. anyone able to shed any light??

cant figure out how to upload images here, as it seems you need to host them on a website first? but they are saved in this dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/oia7qrsgnijymw3/AAAsC7OvcRMMROpKoTR8SvmXa?dl=0, hopefully some kind soul will be willing to have a look for me, it would be very much appreciated.

Yes it is a take down , It has a pistol grip and it is checkered Your rifle is a model 99G, it should date to 1927. It and the engraved 99K were the only models standard with those features in 1927. 99G first introduced in 1921, made up until WW2. A very popular model. Welcome to the campfire!

Bang, the serial you posted dates to 1910.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.
