I did not know the man. But based on the respect so many here have for him, it is clear I missed something. RIP.

I remember Thomas helping out Ken before he passed away and at least one other, where he chose to remain anonymous. Thomas will surely be missed.

Prayers said for his wife and children.

Randy,

just read of this less than 5 minutes ago....this kind of news sorta kicked me in the gut...

hope you don't mind me borrowing your post by just adding a Plus 1

your post pretty much sums up my experience with Thomas...

I do remember enjoying spending time with his son at Roosevelt Lake, and since he was thinking of going into Boy Scouts, showed him how to make a fire...

When his son finally made his own fire from what I had taught him, I don't know who was more happy about it... Thomas or his son...both had big smiles over that....

Just a darn good guy, and someone I was proud to call a friend...

Another good guy gone too darn early in life....

He's with the Good Lord now and may he rest in peace...

He was one of the good ones. Very much unlike some of the self serving ones that are so common on this site today. RIP and my best to all of his family and friends. Another worthwhile contributor to the campfire gone. frown frown frown

Tom was good people. Down to earth and genuine. He will be missed.

"A man's friendships are one of the best measures of his worth". Judging from the posts on this thread, Tom was a very rich man.

Godspeed and a prayer to his family.

I did not know the man other than his posts here, which I enjoyed. I obviously missed out based on the testimonials from his friends here. Not many men leave such an impression on this earth. Sounds like he lived a very good life. May he R.I.P and my condolences to his friends here and especially his family.

Dang, this is terrible news, I feel terrible for his wife and kids as it sounds like they lost one hell of a husband/father.

RIP Tom.

Gentilemen,.
While we mourn Tom. Let us take some solace in the fact that somewhere. He, Ken Howell, and Greg Cameron are sitting around a fire pointing and laughing at us. And probably casting their KOTY vote as well

RIP Tom
