? Common as all get out. Any old universal sized 6-48 filler screw can be had wherever guns and gun parts are sold. If by some dumb reason the holes are 8-40, they're ubiquitous also.

gnoahhh is correct about availability, but it is also true that some filler screws have a very small, thin head on them, while others do not. Depending on the rifle, some may look a bit nicer than others. Also, be sure that the screws do not go so far into the hole that they protrude out the other side and interfere with the action.

Winchester used positive stop 6-48 plugs.

Meaning the ones with the small heads, correct? Do you believe they used those on a 1984 Ranger (less expensive model?)

^^^^^^^ There are some incredibly knowledgeable gentlemen here. There are a few incredible pricks too, but that's life.
I'll suggest you consider a receiver sight for that M94.

^^^^^^^ Consider the Williams Fool Proof. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...895g-and-sears-centerfire-aluminum-blackMight find it cheaper if you shop around. Make sure your rifle is drilled and tapped for it. Two screws, about 1/2 " apart, rear upper of left side of receiver.
