Helll, I’ve never had an issue getting a late model to shoot.....all of my 700s some 1980s, some 90s, couple early 2000s, and one 2017 model.....have shot at least MOA, most a good bit better.

Come to think of it ....My .375 with a straight 6x wasn’t too shabby either

Years ago my brother had a 742 Woodmaster in 3006, rifle had less than 40 rounds thru it. The bolt came back and would not go forward there was a gouge in the area where the bolt goes.
I sent it back to them even though it was a couple years out of warranty. They replaced the receiver and sent it back even paid postage.

they went to [bleep] when Freedom Arms group bought them. be prepared to hound them.

also be prepared to sell at a loss...

I had to do that to 3 different model 7's

a 7mm-08 CDL-- couldn't hit anything and had ugly wood

a plastic stocked 260 -- shot 2" groups after bedding, but couldn't get over the tupperware stock

and a 300 Blackout. -- shot ok but it wouldn't ignite the priimer on about every 3rd round of Remington subsonic ammo, also it didn't have concentric threading on it and I had an end cap strike on my can. All 3 manufacturers were freedom arms group, and nobody wanted to take responsibility for repairing the can...

I personally love everything about the new model 7 Stainless HS precision. I think it could be an incredible gun in 6.5 creed. but I don't want to take the risk again... kimbers all work too good for me...

I can't believe people are still buying Remingtons and Leupolds.

I'm into a 673 350 Rem Mag right now. Getting prepared to load and shoot. Received a Labradar yesterday in preparation to testing the 673. I'm going to check bedding again and look the trigger over. I changed the 700 SA 260 Ti trigger and may do so with the 673. It all looks good but was made back around 2004. I put a non-J-lok firing pin shroud on both Rems. I may not ever buy another new Remington. I just buy older ones I have a curiosity about. Be Well. Rusty

Between my friends and I we have sent about 6 of them back including 2 of their custom shop guns. All for accuracy issues. NONE came back any batter than before and one 300 mag of mine was lost for 6 months in their shop!

I had some issues with an extractor on a new 700 SAUM that a local shop fixed with a replacement part. Also had a NIB 700 ADL that had a really canted recoil lug. Other than that, I've had great luck with Remington bolt actions. Probably owned or shot 40-50 through the years, and many were built in the last 10 years.

I got my rifle back about two weeks ago. The paper work inside the box said they recut the crown and checked the head spacing. They also had the electronic target data that said the was rifle tested and it showed 1/4" groups at 100 yards. I reinstalled the Talley mounts, scope and thumbhole stock. I took it to the range and to my surprise it shoots Awesome with the Hornady 129 grain SST. Thanks Remington!

Wow, I wish I could honestly say that. My last good Remington was purchased in about 2005-2007. Since then, nothing but trouble. You are a lucky son of a gun. You might want to buy lottery tickets for the rest of us.

I take for granted that things are going to work out well for me. I've always been and expect to continue to be luckier than most. I bought 2 Remington 700s in 6.5 Creedmoor in 2018, a 700 ADL and a 700 ADL Varmint with RR serial number prefix. The triggers are the only important components that I don't love, but they are fully functional. I've kept the barreled actions in their original configurations, but have restocked them and converted them to a BDL/SPS hinged floor-plate format.

I've had issues with a couple of Rugers and a couple of S&W revolver, but can't recall any significant problems with any of the other new firearms that I've bought during the past 20 years.

I have 7 Remington 700’s and 2 Model Seven’s. Not a problem with any of them. I reload for all of them except one and all are MOA or better for accuracy.
