Brought in about 4 dozen fresh eggs and set the flat on the deep freezer in the kitchen while I went to the bathroom. Tried to hurry it up because all I heard was my 2 year old egg bombing the kitchen and stomping around. Only lost about 6 or 7 eggs I think, but the kitchen looks like the scene of a Halloween prank....

Damn, I remember egg fights...they were awsome.

'til we were caught.

That would make for quite a sight, especially if (not sure if they still do) run those Vistaliner cars?

Just think, with a couple A-10's you could make it look just like that road out of Kuwait . smile

MtnBoomer; Indeed what a fantastic day!
Did two yard sales first thing and scored wonderfully at both. Then I bought a gun at the local pawn sport shop.
Then I took a load of yard waste and limbs (left over from the amazing winds we have had here in the last two months!) to the free local landfill.
Then just before noon I had free hot dogs, hamburgers and watermelon at the grand opening of a fly and guide service shop.
Then I shot some Gophers out of the neighbors field - now I think I will take a nap.
69 and sunny right now with a lovely mild SW wind blowing all the smoke back to Canada! Visibility is now 30 miles as opposed to less than 2 miles yesterday.
Dinner out and a movie tonight with the VarmintWife (maybe some VarmintTail later?).
Life is good, VERY good!
Hold into the wind

Jim,

I am sorry for your tough duty but once again you show up when the going is hard.

I am also thankful for my girls. I will be taking them to the pool at the local Air Force Base. It is the State's nicest gated community. We will swim for a couple of hours, get some ice cream at the gas station on the way home, and have pesto or hot dogs for dinner.

Thank God for America, and the Good People therein.

This should make your day.

At work tonight I had an Indian family come in and ask where they could buy vegetarian meals, I suggested that there was not much call for such around here and went in to great detail about steak and how nice it would taste if they combined it with gravy, chips, and a few slices of fried tomato.

In retrospect it was possibly a bit too much...I should have started with pork chops.

Ease into it with pork chops... That's good advice! I will try some fried tomatoe slices..

See, it's good to help your fellow man/not man. For example earlier today I pointed out to an old fart pulling a travel trailer which lane he should be in... I used my long finger to make sure he could see it clearly.

Now I know you were on 84....

You bet!

Hope you have a good day too.

When I got back, my youngest boy came out and we visited for while.

We were happy to see each other.

Today I got to see what the happier times were like for the young man.

I got to speak with the parents and grand parents. Told the mother it was a great honor to be able to do what I did.

Glad I went.

Very thankful.

Now I gotta quit jawing and get back to work!
