Oh it’s coming if the feds get there way and shut all of unit 13 federal lands to non subsistence users.. a lot of unit 13 is federal land.. ahtna native corporation will be happy with it, if it does happen. Actually 13 will be going the other way soon, IMO. Dropping the rule linking subsistence caribou tags to moose hunting is likely since they destroyed the caribou hunting through horrid management.

Good ol Tony Knowles the gift the keeps on giving.. And Lisa adds fuel to the fire. Lisa's funding of the Alcan 1408 Flood Control Project was handed to AHTNA Construction and they are totally inept. It appears to be 100% cost overrun for a project that serves no purpose. Claims and counterclaims are numerous.

Really wondered what the need for at 1408 was. I know water can go over the road etc... but seems its a project, in the middle of no where so much in a way.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Supposedly it was to keep flood silt from reaching the Delta Clearwater River and screwing up the coho spawning beds.
It didn't work and flooded other properties which had to be bought by some gov agency. It soon became a recreation site for
shooters, hunters and ATVs. now it's being filled in and covered with debris to prevent recreation. Nothing changes for the
spawning beds but AHTNA got a huge contract that they have screwed up.
